fls 05/14/2004 - 09:10 Array Array
For the first time football supporters organizations from seven different European countries will collaborate during the EURO 2004 football championship. The network Football Supporters International (FSI) in cooperation with FARE (Football against Racism in Europe) is organizing a fan support for football supporters from seven participating countries. FSI consists of the KOS-Fan-Projekte from Germany, Progetto Ultra from Italy, the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) from England, EURO Support from the Netherlands, Fan Projects from Switzerland as well as groups from the Czech Republic and France. An important element of this international cooperation are antiracist initiatives. FARE thus provides a street-kick facility in different match venues for short notice tournaments, where not only foreign football fans participate, but also the many local and migrant groups from the local communities. Also a rock concert is planned as well as an antiracist fanzine with tips how to engage in football against racism and xenophobia. The EM Fanguide 2004 is a travel guide for German football tourists. On 120 pages in the format of a paperback are tips and special informations listet about the location of the playgrounds, how to get there and local peculiarities.
