What is special about the D-A-S-H search engine? What is special about the D-A-S-H search engine? The search engine, D-A-S-H query, is as comfortable, functional and effective as a normal, commercial search engine. It does, however, not search anywhere in the net, but exclusively web sites that focus on dealing with racism, right wing extremism, xenophobia and exclusion. How many pages does D-A-S-H query search? The stock of servers, webpages and documents searched by D-A-S-H query is continually growing. When D-A-S-H was re-launched in April 2003 the stock of D-A-S-H query contained half a million documents on 1000 servers. Can I add my web site to the stock of the D-A-S-H search engine? If your web site or a web site you find interesting has not been added to the stock of the search engine yet, you are very welcome to suggest it. You have only got to fill the name, the URL, a short description of the site and its category in a web form. We will then quickly check the site and the data and add it to the stock. Why doesn't my web site appear in the list of results immediately after I added it? In order to be able to guarantee and in order to continually improve the quality of the results, we quickly check, if the content of the suggested web site fits into the specific concept of the search engine or rather not. But we don't want to deter anyone from contributing information about relevant resources: We are more than happy to provide registered D-A-S-H users who are interested with access authorization and immediate clearing. But we would like to ask them to talk to other members of the D-A-S-H team if in doubt about a web site and to immediately report and correct any abuse of the search engine. Can I use the search engine for searching my web site only? Of course! We know that many groups who run extensive web sites are often very interested in offering the possibility to search only their pages via D-A-S-H. Searching on only one or few servers is exactly what D-A-S-H query allows you to do. And that's without any commercial banners and advertisment! How can I build the D-A-S-H search engine into my web site? Since searching on one or few servers only is still being tested, we offer this service only on request. Please contact the administrators of the search engine! Can I even adjust the design and the functionality of the search engine to the concept of my web site? Yes, even design and the way the search engine works can be tailored to individual needs. This feature, too, is being extensively tested at the moment, but is available nevertheless.
