Who are the partners that co-operate with D-A-S-H Europe?

To what extent does D-A-S-H Europe differ from its German version?

Since summer 2002 D-A-S-H has extended its offers and service to a European wide level. We have been trying not to change the general structure of the project. In some minor aspects, however, D-A-S-H Europe differs from the services offered in Germany. D-A-S-H Europe cannot financially support projects, instead, we do research work about innovative projects and present them on our European platform on a regular basis. As far as training and seminars are concerned, D-A-S-H Europe offers workshops for facilitators in the spirit of training the trainers.

Why does D-A-S-H exist?

In recent years there has been a lot of talk about the extent to which communication technologies have been used to propagate racist and xenophobic contents. However, the new media holds not only many risks, but also many great possibilities for those who fight against racism and xenophobia. The media, in particular the modern mass media does undoubtedly mirror more or less voluntarily, critically and at times even distortingly the current forms of racism and exclusion in a society. In this context, however, it is of utmost importance to not only critically question the stereotypes, resentments and racisms prevalent but also simultaneously draw attention to new ways of using the possibilities of communication. D-A-S-H wants to provide the necessary means for groups and initiatives - and particularly those, who volunteer their time and energy in the fight against racism and right wing extremism in order to publish their contents and activities, to exchange their experiences and to network against racism.
